Hi everyone! I just set up a new phone line and I am very excited about it! This is a phone line that uses the internet to connect. It is my normal phone, it is just connecting over the internet (like what Vonage or AT&T has been selling). I pay $22 a month for unlimited calling to the US and 22 countries.

The great news is I have a local NJ 973 number. I am 6 hours ahead of NJ but it is not a big problem because it is set not to ring while I am sleeping.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven’t updated this much in a while but I have been busy with traveling! I have been to Estonia and Finland several times. Now I am back in Germany but tomorrow I fly to the US.

I just ordered my new phone at work. I am getting the Nokia N91. This is a phone with a music player, 4GB of storage built in, WiFi and a 2 megapixel camera.

I should get the phone soon but it is not really in much shops yet (I only have seen it in Finland). on Ebay it is going for over $800! I am glad I don’t have to pay for it!

Hi everyone! I just spent my Easter vacation in Ukraine, in Kyiv (also spelled Kiev). It was really nice, there were so many things to see there!
I put some pictures on the website so you can see what it is like there. Sorry but I didn’t get a chance to clean up and brighten some of the pictures but you can see what is like.

Well it has been a few weeks in Germany but it is time to go away again! So here it the plan….next weekend I will be in Ukraine, in Kiev.

Then the week after I am back to Finland for a week. While in Finland I am going to go to Tampere for the weekend. Tampere is famous for a few things but one thing is that Moomins are from there. Have you ever heard of them? I hadn’t but appartently these are famous for children around the world (perhaps not in the US).

Fortune just released its list of the worlds most admired companies. Nokia ranked number 20, up 6 spaces from the year before. In the area of network communication Nokia climbed to number one, followed by Motorola.

By the way, it seems most of the US pronounces the name of the company incorrectly. Nokia has a long O and the stress is on the first syllable. So it is pronounced “NOO kia” not “no KIA”.

This time while I am in Finland I will be trying something new. Next week as our team event from work we are going to play curling. I have never played it, I have never even watched it!

I don’t think any of us have played before, but luckily for us we will have the captain of the Finnish Olympic team (he just won a silver medal at the 2006 Olympics in Turin) showing us how to play. It should be fun!
